We Love the Holidays!

Well Jeff finished the house and it looks amazing as always! I think all the neighborhood kids are excited too because they keep coming by to check out the lights. It was funny because one of the houses in the neighborhood was excited because it was Jeff's second day of putting up lights and they thought they beat us this year with the lights. Little did they know it was on day 2 of the 4 day process. Jeff really outdid himself this year. I am so proud of him!

The other pictures are of the Greenville parade that we have in town. It is awesome! The kids loved it and the last picture is Dillon looking at anticipation at the arrival of Santa Claus. He was beyond excited. Then on Sunday we went to another parade where they were throwing candy in the crowds. We loved that because they were very interactive with the crowd.

The kids have been busy with holiday activity. Jeff and I got to go on a day date because the daycare was open on Saturday so parents can go Christmas shopping. I will have to post pictures of the tree with all the presents from family and friends. It is awesome! The kids are so excited and it is hard to keep Kylie away from the tree. Luckily, Dillon is on top of watching whenever she tries to sneak a present :-)

Well I better get going! I hope that everyone has a great week and thanks for checking in!

Dillon's First Touchdown

I wanted to dedicate this post to Dillon. He played football on Saturday and got his first TOUCHDOWN!!! That is just what he needed, because he did not have a good start to the season. Now, he did score a touchdown, but he still spent a lot of time picking the grass on the field. However, we did not have any crying fits about being pushed, and he seemed to enjoy everything. It was such a great thing to see!
We love you Dillon!

Sooo busy!

Sorry I have not been posting that much. Things are busy around here with life. Some new things to report are that Kylie started the potty training process. She is such a character. Seriously, this girl has some personality. We are having a hard time with her at daycare because she is hitting!!! What is that about!? Dillon would be devastated if we put him in a time out. Kylie is just the opposite, she thinks it is a game to see how many times she can get out of a time out. Not fun!!!

Dillon started his football last Saturday. He already had to miss a game because he was sick. That was okay because he was not the biggest fan of it once we got on the field. Now you have to remember that this is flag football and it is a bunch of 4 and 5 year olds going all over the place. I have never seen such a mess! Dillon was pretty excited though because one of his buddies from school was there so they are on the team together. However, Dillon decided that he did not like football because he was pushed. Seriously, he has been watching football with Jeff and begging us to play, and now he is having second thoughts. I am hoping the game this Saturday will change his mind a little bit.

Well the bell just rang at school and I have to go on duty. Thank you so much for checking in. Things have been going well here, just busy. I am going to be signing up for another half marathon in April with some friends so I am excited. The weight is still coming off and I am looking forward to all of the holiday season :-)
Have a wonderful night and thank you for checking in!!

Update Coming Soon

I have not had a lot of time to update this site, but look at our family pictures at www.picasaweb.google.com/stacinjeff

We have been busy with Jeff going to Arizona, Boo in the Zoo, birthday parties, fall parties, training for half marathon, and the list goes on. I promise to try to update more tomorrow or Thursday. My mom is getting here Thursday so I am beyond excited to see her!! I wish my dad could be here too, but at least one of them will be here for my half marathon and Halloween with the kids.

We have a lot of adventures planned for her visit and can't wait to share them with everybody.
Thank you for checking in!

Have a great night :-)

A Long Overdue Update

Well sorry about the delay of updating but things have been busy, and they will continue to be busy every weekend until after Halloween. But, that is the way I like it!!!!
The picture below just makes my heart go pitter patter because this is Jeff and Dillon spending some quality time together making Star Wars Legos. Jeff loved to do this as a kid, and he bought Dillon some Legos so they can share something to do together on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Tennis time!!! Dillon wanted to play tennis and has been begging me for quite awhile so when I finished my 8 mile run, we went to the park to play tennis. Yes, I did say 8 mile run. I am training for a half marathon in hopes to lose more weight... or at least some. You can always check out my progress at dombroskiweightloss.blogspot.com if you are interested.

After tennis, which Dillon loved, we went over to the park. It has been such beautiful weather here I do not want to miss a day of activity outside because I know winter is coming around the corner and so is the indoors. I love the fall!!! The trees are starting to change a little here and when I see it I get butterflies in my stomach, it is gorgeous! It also reminds me that Christmas is coming around the corner.

When we came home from school one day I asked Dillon if he wanted to eat worms and dirt. Of course he thought I was teasing and thought I was the most disgusting mom on the planet, until he realized the end results was really pudding and candy worms. He loved making our worms and dirt and had a better time eating it!!

Kylie shared in the fun too, but she did not get the candy worms! She was cracking me up because she inhaled the pudding!

Here is Kylie girl sitting down to color. She loves to color and draw. She will actually sit there for quite awhile and keep herself busy with coloring, drawing, painting, and stickers. I love that she is finally into the activities because anyone that knows me well, knows that I love activities with the kids!!!

Well I need to soak in a bath because I am so sore from my 9 mile run yesterday. I have a soccer game tomorrow so I need all of the energy I can get since I am the oldest one on the team.
Have a great night and thank you for checking in!

Labor Day Weekend

Can you believe that I do not have any pictures to post? I am not on top of it this week. We have been so busy, but great times were had by all! Jeff and I started our weekend off with a date night. I love date nights with the husband, it is a nice time to unwind and just enjoy each other without the craziness in the house! We went to dinner and got to see the Hangover. It was hilarious! There were not that many people in the theatre so when my loud laugh started to get going, Jeff did not cringe with embarrassment.
Saturday started off with my joining a friend for a 6 mile jog. That was the longest I have ever jogged, but I did pretty good. Next weekend an 8 mile jog so we will see how that goes. I signed up with a friend to do the half marathon they have in town on Halloween. It should be fun! I am glad my mom decided she might come out for Halloween because Jeff and I are going to need all the help I can get with the kids after a run that long!!!!
After I got back from the jog we drove 1.5 hours to the amusement park and spent some time there. We love that place and the kids always have a good time. Then we went to our friend's house in Huntersville, NC to have some great BBQ. Thank you Kristy and Kelly for having us over! It was a great time!!!
Sunday was a little slower and we went to a BBQ with our friends. It was so much fun but I was absolutely exhausted from the day before, so when Jeff and I came home later that night! We just wanted to curl up and go to bed.
Now today is Monday and we have cleaning and lawn work to do. Have a great day and holiday weekend!!!

Randomness and Loving the Life!!!

Since I have started back at school I feel so busy. I was very busy during the summer, but now I feel like I am on overdrive! I think it is because as soon as we get home Dillon is at the stage where he wants to play with his friends. You would think it would be a break from things, but sometimes they want to go outside, or they insist that I play with them. Here is Dillon and Carter playing outside. These two together are very interesting. They are fun and VERY active!!!

Watch out Dillon, here comes Carter!

I do not know why he wanted his little bike, but he wanted to ride that all around the neighborood.

Here is Kylie girl after finishing her painting. I wanted to try and do some craft time with her, but it was not as successful as planned. She LOVED it, I wanted it to be done quickly :-)

I just love this picture with the paint all over her and she was carrying around her broccoli. The kid loves vegetables. Dillon used to love them all too, but then he turned older and I am struggling with his eating habits right now!!!

Last but not least is a little video of the kids one day after school. They just bring Jeff and I so much joy. One of my favorite things is when the kids are doing something cute and Jeff and I just look at each other with such a deep understanding of each other and our kids. I truly feel so blessed with my family and our life. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and thank you for checking on us!

The New Science Museum Adventure

Sorry the pictures are so small but I loaded them incorrectly, and now it will take more time to reload them correctly so you will have to bear with me. These are the pictures from our trip to the new museum that Greenville has to offer. I was at first going to boycott the museum because I thought the prices were too high, then a friend told me it was worth it so we packed up the car with the Carvalhos family and off we went :-)

This is a picture of Dillon with a spaceship simulation. What a great time! It looked like a space ship and the kids were able to take off and see what it was like in space. As Dillon would say, "It was awesome!"
I have never been good at making paper airplanes so when I saw this center, I was not ready for it. However, it gave great detailed instructions that I could follow easily and I did it! Dillon loved it and we made about 3 and were able to bring them home with us.
This was Kylie's favorite part. They have a grocery store setup and it talks about nutrition. Kylie loved taking things off the shelves and putting things in her cart. The NOT fun part was when the parents have to put the items back on the shelves for the other kids to use. Kylie threw an absolute fit when it was time to leave this section!
Here is Dillon having a great time shopping :-)
He actually picked up a vegetable!!!! He knew it was not real, so he could do it. I wish that kid would eat better. He used to love everything, now he is a picky eater like his father.. thanks Jeff!!! :-(
They had another cool section where you get to pretend to make a cake. Dillon, my little chef, was at this section for quite awhile until he made his masterpiece. He keeps telling me when he grows up he wants to be a teacher, artist, chef, and daddy. I keep telling him that he can do whatever he wants :-)
Here is our little Kylie girl to the rescue. The bear was very sick and needed her absolute love. Unfortunately she does not understand all the loving and gentle factors so she was throwing the thing around quite a bit :-)
Here are Dillon and I on the climbing apparatus they had. It was really cool!
There goes Kylie!!!
This is how we brush our teeth, brush our teeth, brush our teeth. This is the way we brush our teeth so early in the morning. Can you hear the song in your head now? I bet it will be taunting your head for awhile now while you sing the song after you are done reading this post. HEHE!
The contruction section was amazing! They thought of everything for this museum.
Here is Kylie picking up the bricks.
Dillon in the tree house.
Kylie playing with the water. I am so glad they have a cover for the kids to wear there because I did not know they had this extravagant water section where the kids can play. I loved the little baby table they can sit at and still play with the water. Kylie kept trying to drink it. YUCK!
The last picture is of Kylie with her first official set of pigtails. When I picked her up from school, they were playing with her hair and were able to get them up. I could not believe it. We kept calling her a little ant because she looks like she has antennaes on her head.

I hope everybody is doing well and thank you for continuing the check in on us! Have a great night and I will post some more later this week :-)
